The papers published on Electric Power Engineering Technology(EPET) are exclusively on the basis of their academic merit and its relevance to the journal's scope. The way of double-anonymous peer review is used by EPET. It means that the reviewers do not know the names of the authors, and the authors do not know who may review their manuscripts. The peer review follows the procedure outlined below.
All the submitted manuscripts are evaluated firstly by editorial staff to save the time for authors and peer-reviewers. Those papers judged by editors to be insufficiently original, or are outside the scope of the journal, or otherwise inappropriate are rejected within three days without external review. Those papers that meet the minimum criteria are sent for formal review.
The editors typically select two or three potential peer reviewers within the field of research to peer-review the manuscripts, but sometime more if it is needed. If one of the reviewers withdraws the review process if they cannot provide an assessment or they have conflicts of interest with the authors, the editors will send the manuscripts to another reviewer.
The cycle of anonymous review by external experts is 1 to 3 months. Some submissions need to be revised by the author upon the opinions of the experts and the editorial department. The authors should submitted the revision of manuscriptand feedback formwith correspondences to the experts’ opinions in details one by one.
Intheprocess of final review, the editor in chief considers the peer-reviewed reports andeditors’advice when making a decision, but is not bound by the opinions or recommendations. A decision to accept or reject will be sent to the authors.
