Abstract:Integrative optimal management system of outage schedule is proposed in this paper. This system provides assessment, optimization, and multi-dimensional and integrative security correction including static, transient and dynamic check of outage schedule. The system realizes whole process outage schedule optimizing assistant operation decision through experience and expertise database, analysis of evaluation index, multi-dimensional security check. Optimization and adjustment of outage schedule exists in the whole process. The system realizes multi period optimization management of daily, monthly and yearly outage schedule. And the system auto-matches day-ahead and multiple future models in the process of check and optimization through local store management of day-ahead and multiple future models.

Abstract:In order to achieve the economic distribution of the plant's power and ensure area voltage quality, and meet the requirements of deregulation and economic dispatch, a collaborative optimization control system is proposed in this paper. Combining the system design of direct transfer mode and equipment configuration, this system is constructed with electrical network monitoring system integrated of plant level load distribution module and original plant's voltage reactive control system. The system can not only realize the function of itself, but also exchanges information with each other to achieves active power economic dispatch and reactive power optimization distribution. In order to obtain more information from power plant side, excitation system model based on CIM is built in network monitoring & control system, which guarantees the accuracy and security of AVC control on the power plant side.

Abstract:Though smart substation reduces the amount of traditional secondary cables, it also brings the problem of effectively monitoring and analysis with smart secondary devices which are equipped in smart substation. Traditional maintenance mode of secondary system can't meet the requirements of smart devices' operation and maintenance. The structure of secondary system in 220 kV Xijing smart power station is introduced in this paper. Two CBM (Condition Based Maintenance) cases are combined to illustrate the necessary of adopting CBM in secondary system in smart substation.

Abstract:Shielding failure is the principal cause of lightning trip fault on transmission line, so it is very important to study the lightning shielding model for the calculation and analysis of the lightning shielding. This paper elaborates on the characteristics and application conditions of Geometric Method, Electro Geometric Models and Physical Models in detail. Then lightning protection performance of shielding failure on 220kV transmission line with three different models are analyzed and compared with. The results indicate that Geometric Method derived from small model experiment has a certain distance with practical application. Results obtained by Electro Geometric Models and Physical Models are in substantial agreement, so both are with highly practicability.

Abstract:By analyzing the model structure and the syntax structure of substation configuration description language (SCL), generating standards and format requirements of the configuration model are made clear. Proceeding from the actual requirement of engineering configuration, the expected function and operation mode of configuration tool are analyzed. Referring to the development idea of MVC interface software, in order to remain the relative independence and the reusability of the functional modules, a substation system configuration tool based on IEC 61850 is designed and achieved under the development environment of QT4.5.3. The practical application shows that this configuration tool can completely satisfy the requirements of substation system.

Abstract:Travelling wave method is widely used in power system because of its stability and accuracy. Lightning wave is one of the important factors which affect the traveling wave fault location. In this paper, the lightening strike fault is simulated, and the characteristics of non-failure lightening and failure lightening are compared with each other. Finally, the outcome of simulation experiment proves that, using two-terminal location to locate the failure lightening has high precision.

Abstract:In the series compensation system, the Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) temperature's real-time simulation is the basis of its properly working and SC (series compensation) reinserting. According to the simplified thermal model of MOV, the MOV's temperature is simulated in real time by using digital Series Compensation (SC) protection device. And the MOV's temperature characteristic is also measured at the same time. Related parameters can be adjusted to guarantee the simulation temperature dovetail with the actual one and some margin to be left. Results show the MOV real-time simulation can provide reliable support for the MOV temperature protection.

Abstract:Along with the interconnection of regional power grid, the percent of low-frequency oscillations below 1Hz is increasing. And sometimes negative damping phenomenon can happen after PSS installed in generator's excitation system under certain operation mode. This paper points out that normal test methods of PSS cannot verify the effect of suppressing low-frequency oscillations, and gives a test method of superposing a sinusoidal perturbation signal on generator's terminal voltage. Results of field tests show that this method is reasonable and effective.

Abstract:The basic function and composition of kernel CPU board is introduced according to the design process of new generation high-voltage relay protection ARP-300 series. In new technical condition, the integrity problem of high-speed signal during the hardware design and development is presented. By simulating and analyzing the key signal of the key circuit, the corresponding wiring constraints and realization is explained in detail. Finally, the actual waveforms of kernel signal and the electromagnetic compatibility experiments of device indicate that during hardware design of kernel CPU board the signal integrity analysis improves the primary success rate of system hardware development and plays a very important role in enhancing working stability and reliability of relay protection devices.

Abstract:The connections of DC switch yard and parameters of main electrical equipment of ± 800 kV Zheng Zhou converter substation are analyzed and optimized in this paper. Then the pollution class of substation is calculated and specific creepage distance of DC equipment is determined. In order to decrease the equipment's external insulation, the air gap of DC switch yard is calculated and indoor switch yard dimension is suggested combining with equipment placement. Considering of the characteristics of valve hall, the placement of indoor switch yard and valve hall is designed to be symmetric layout. This design can be a reference for instructing Zheng Zhou converter substation's design.

Abstract:The requirements of merging unit (MU) emulation system of intelligent substation are studied in this paper. Based on software and configuration, MU emulation system can simulate multiple MUs simultaneously on personal computer, and simulate electrical vectors' amplitude, phase angle and fault time. The sampled values of packets satisfy requirements of rated delay time, which greatly facilitates the debugging of devices. In addition, MU emulation system can read COMMTRADE files to send packets, which provides the support for the failure analysis in intelligent substation.

Abstract:Improving the accuracy of measurement of nonlinear systems' reactive power can meet the requirements of improving power quality management and safe operation. System structure and function of electric locomotive is introduced in this paper. Simulation model is built in Matlab to analyze its current and voltage harmonic content. The reactive power of electric locomotives is measured by several typical measurement algorithms. The simulation results show that the relative error is small by Hilbert algorithm and Fourier algorithm while measurement of reactive power is accurate, and measurement error of RMS algorithm exist big error.

Abstract:Based on the actual situation, load calculation when transformers are operated in parallel under different conditions is studied. The calculation formulas of load allocation and circulating current are deduced, and then an applied computer program is developed based on Visual Basic 6.0. Abstract:According to the characteristics of smart electricity consumption data acquisition system: centralized data acquisition, large quantity of data items and customers, a new batch data loader technology is proposed which is based on coding algorithm and cache technology. The acquisition data items are precoded and then mapped into the cache data area using P / T data mapping technology, and batch submitted to the database at scheduled time to reduce the operation frequency of the database. The algorithm greatly enhances the system's data storage efficiency and stability. Finally, the main function modules and the realization of key technologies are introduced.

Abstract:With the expanding of regional power grids, power grid's stability is threatened by the increasing fault current, which makes it necessary to operate power system in partitions. But it is very difficult to ensure the relay's actions correct with the load transferred after the power grid partition operation. Based on the automatic transfer relay with quick closed-open loop function which was used in Xin-qu substation, how to ensure the relay's actions correct is discussed in this paper. Abstract:Based on the ATT7025 MCU and LonWorks control network technique, a single phase electric multi-function energy meter is designed, which is integrated with functions of remote control, communication, measurement and time control. Various communication interfaces can be utilized in this new energy meter, such as LonWorks twisted-pair, LonWorks power line, or RS485. The system structure is briefly described and the characteristics and advantages of the LonWorks control network technique and ATT7025 micro-processor are proposed in this paper.

Abstract:The heat exchange performance of condensers has significant effect on the plant economy. A condenser of one 340 MW thermal power plant is analyzed in the paper to figure out the issues associated with the condenser and the circulating water system. Based on the obtained conclusion, a comprehensive reform scheme is proposed. The comparison results show that the performance indexes of the condenser and the power plant have been markedly improved, and a higher economic benefit has been achieved.

Abstract:Focusing on the drainage issues which occurred in #3 low pressure heaters of 3rd and 4th 600 MW power plant, this paper analyzes the damage as well as the relevant causes in detail. The analysis results show that the main reason is that the drainage pipes have not been reasonably arranged and the water level in the heater has also not been effectively controlled. After adjustments are implemented, a stable low pressure heater drainage system has been constructed. The further reform scheme aiming at a more reasonable arrangement is also proposed.

Abstract:The exhaust gas temperature of two 600 MW supercritical power plants has always been too high since they were put into operation. After analyzing the operational parameters of the air preheater in #1 power plant, this paper figures out that the poor heat transfer performance is the main reason. Three reform schemes are compared, and Scheme 1, which means to change the type of heat transfer components, is finally adopted. The operation results show that the exhaust gas temperature has been decreased by 10 ℃, and a better boiler efficiency has been obtained.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of overheating issues occurred in heating surfaces of one subcritical boiler, several measures that may be valuable for boiler design, system optimization, equipment selection and operation adjustment are proposed. Some of the measures have been applied, while the others are still under argumentation. It is desired that the issues can be solved thoroughly using the improvement measures to avoid the further damage of devices.

Abstract:The origin of electric energy meter was introduced in this paper firstly. According to the structural and functional characteristics of electric energy meters, the development process can be classified into four phases: inductive AC electric energy meter, electronic AC electric energy meter, electronic multi-functional electric energy meter and smart electric energy meter. Application prospects of acquisition data in smart grid provided by smart electric energy meters are discussed, where those meters act as the terminal equipment of electricity consumption acquisition system.
