The paper reviewed the present on-line monitoring development of capacitive voltage equipment. Significantly, the principle of using voltage measurement value to monitor the internal capacitance unit single section or multiple class breakdown of capacitive voltage transformer (CVT) is introduced. And through fault case, the proposed method is proved feasible and can be used as CVT online monitoring.
